T'was the Night before Christmas

Too cute not to post!

T’was the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.

I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or inkpads or lace?
Or some stamps, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him......
"Hi Santa, " I said
He replied, "You know....good girls should be in their beds".
"I know I should Santa, and now I've been caught.
But I was just so excited to see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work".
He shook his head quickly, and left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough crap,
I'll see you next year!"

Some Christmas cards for an Order

Open! had to show the best part first

Closed
Working hard to make some easy yet amazing Christmas cards for a client.
These are a lift from a little card I got in a swap from Janette. - Brilliant idea!
Had fun with the structure not sure I am happy yet with the finished cover.
Need to add some holiday words and every time I try it ruins the affect.
I will add the client has a love of turquoise and snowflakes with some bling.
She likes simple so I am working some magic!
Still in process but so far I am loving the look of it open.
also I hope you can see that I did use the snowflake embossing folder on the cover.
Thinking of adding some glitter to the cover in random places too...
as you can see a work in progress!
Thanks again Janette!

S'more Card

Front of card

Inside card
After taking these pictures I noticed that the score line on the right (front of card)
was not showing up it is there it just isn't very dark.
Recipe for this one....
Chocolate chip 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 folded for card
Cut half or less of the scallop circle out of the corner
White 4 X 5 1/4 (cut 2) place one on the front and one on the inside
Repeat same cut with scallop circle
** The paper is too heavy to cut through all layers with SU paper***
Close to cocoa 3 3/4 X 5
Run it through the Big Shot with Swiss Dots embossing folder
Use the side with the dot facing down
Score at 1 1/2 from each side (5 inch length going in 1 1/2)
and 1 3/4 down 3 3/4 length going down 1 3/4)
Place on white (cover)
Re cut using the punch or scissors
The S'more stamp is from the Under the Stars set
Used close to cocoa and chocolate chip markers to color it in
Mat for cover s'more is 2" copper square
1 3/4 Chocolate chip square
1 1/4 Close to cocoa square
1 inch white
The Text is just on white and matted on close to cocoa
These are both placed on a Chocolate Chip strip 1 1/8 X 5
(Words are from - And many mower)

This idea came from Tish Estrella - SU Up-line
Awesome idea and so fun to create

Sexy Bird and update on Year of Memories

Wow going simple sure isn't so simple...
I did take some time to redo a few of the pages because I decided to only use die cuts from my silhouette machine. Paying for these fun shapes might as well use them. I know crazy concept:).
Who out there actually uses their purchases...
Well now it is almost done I am up to December having just finished putting together these 18 piece turkeys last night. Took the whole day to cut the pieces for 6 of these sexy birds.
But I thought they were just too funny not to use.
Done so far -

The Advent Calendar Class

We had so much fun creating this wonderful Advent Calendar last Saturday.
Rachelle and Jennifer were in attendance and perfect space wise.
This is a spread out project but they were great about keeping to their area.
I am a spreader so I envy their ability not to take the whole table!
I have 2 of these up for sale in the booth so if anyone is interested let me know.
(Also have 1 other one that is burgundy with snowflakes)
And... Jennifer wants to make a Count down to Disney one in the spring.
So if you are interested in a Disney trip count down let me know I will keep you up to date on the class. Rachelle is making Disney bag books the same day so that is an option too.
