Pen storage

Jason got me this new pen storage for my Copic markers.
My old pen holder was for 72 markers and I now have 81 markers so I had 9 markers sitting to the side
looking all lonely. I saw this holder online and thought it would be a nice addition to my desk and it has individual trays to add to it so I don't have to break the bank when I add more pens to my collection.

Love how they all lay in their individual spots and when I take one out of its spot it just comes out
and doesn't pull out its surrounding colors like the old holder.

Organization at its finest!!!

2013 Calendars

~2013 Calendars~

I'm not going to lie and say this was an easy project this year.
It was not I don't know what I was thinking, thinking I could accomplish this in a month....
But I did with the help of Lizzie... Thank goodness for Lizzie.
So I did 10 of these this year also not sure where that notion came from...
I sat down in I think August and did the initial Snowman page for January and his photo mat is a different size then the rest. So when I got back to these about the last week of November/beginning of December (I know crazy me 10 calendars planned and I am not working on them until December!) And that's not the half of the drama!! So I started out cutting the paper and putting it in the buckets for later assembly by hopefully the elves that come in the night. This of course was not happening. I apparently was going to have to assemble these myself. hmm where was I going to find the time?? As you can see I was slightly worried at this point and the rug was still under my feet as they say..
So I would design during the day and watch TV at night with Jason and assemble what I could and Lizzie would assemble what she could when Norah was sleeping.  About the 1st week of December I get a call from work that I have to work the whole week of the 10-14th and its full time!!! Oh my goodness its now Cram Time as I now realize the time I have allotted to the calendars is going fast and I have no time for the Christmas cards.  Switch gears - cut cards, cut calenders, Emboss a group of cards, assemble some cards. Falling asleep thinking cards and calendars and ultimately finishing everything on CHRISTMAS EVE!!!!!

And once again I am telling myself I will not do this again next year that I will do a layout a month and be better prepared for the holiday season. Jason just laughs and says you say this every year. But honestly this was the worst I have ever been and it was a mess. And Alli was here and I scrapped most of the time and didn't get to just rest until the last of her visit. Then it was wedding dress shopping and girly time!

Cupcake Album

This fun Cupcake album was created for Hanna's Granddaughter's cupcake birthday party.
She had her party at a cupcake store where they frosted and decorated cupcakes. I am so jealous!!!

So this cupcake album was created to hold her special pictures of the day....
I used iridescent ice and glossy accents for the bling aspects of this album.
We are still debating the title as you can probably tell
Cover page
Each page has an adorable mini cupcake with patterned iridescent ice frosting and a heart
as well as a top heart set.
There is room for a photo and then if her granddaughter desires there is room for her to take and punch out random photos or cut photo's to decorate the top cupcake area.
I would suggest more of a punch in a circle shape but cutting could work too.

there are 7 chip cupcake shapes to make up 14 pages for this adorable album
including the cover and back page with 12 placed photo spots.

Diamond shaped  and stripes

Diamond shape and leaves

Mixing and matching these fun patterns to make this adorable album

So many papers to use in this fun kit!

Its the digital paper Marguerite from Jessica Spragge
had so many different pinks to chose from
even the wilder papers looked amazing in the shape of a cupcake!
Love the plaid

Had to mix both plaids with the flower patterns.

Doesn't this album make you want to have a cupcake party??

 Hope you enjoyed the album,
Dianne
