No new layouts today or yesterday so here is a few sketches I am looking at for some holiday layouts.
Been a little under the weather and just not able to quite keep up right now. So instead of pushing and hurting myself I am stepping back a smidge and sharing sketches. Its a great way to share some ideas and not have to do as much work. win win for us all:) I have always loved Page Maps they have so many sketches that can be transformed into amazing layouts. Another bonus is I will have my notes saved so I can use them when needed:).
The scallop border is about .5 inches - Probably a strip of paper cut to 1 inch and a punch used
The center patterned paper would be 3 X 10.5
Not sure I would use a doily but I might put another square up in its place something patterned and matching the set I am using. Maybe make it go down a little bit behind the pictures and the verbiage area. Also I prefer 3 x 4 for the photo's so I would enlarge those and maybe turn the journaling piece into a pull out from the photo mat area. Love the flagged end for the subtitle which is probably my choice for actual title and if it worked with the layout I would have a little piece of paper punched like the area for the title just not have a title on it. Maybe an embellishment or plain. I also love the folder tab at the left of the center pattern paper. such a fun way to add in a little word or two.
Then I would take the pattern I love the most and cut it to about 5 X 5 and size down a little if needed. then the coordinating paper that ranks #2 would be cut to 2 X 8.5 and the end flagged - I don't care for the end shown. The other idea floating in my head is to take the 2 inch strip and score one end about .5 in and then staple to the 7.5 X 10.25 paper. not sure why that is coming front and center but I like the thought.
