Some of my Christmas projects DONE!!!!

Teacher gifts this year - Inside the pizza box - Ghirardelli pepermint bark decorated as well as generic peppermint patties and a beaded bookmark Miranda and I made. Made the little holder so it wasn't flopping around in the box. fits nicely all in the 3X3 box. looks bigger then that doesn't it. I loved making these they are easy but tons of steps and make such a nice box that can be reused later. Top of the boxes. We have one teacher that doesn't celebrate Christmas so I made her a winter one. it has 60 gems compared to the 7 on each of the others. Only posting the cover in case my sister is reading my blog. This is the disney bag book I made for my niece Emily. They just spent a few days visiting Disneyland and I wanted her to have a fun memory book for the trip. Also finished a mini book for my Father in Law. Found some amazing pictures of the last time we saw Granny so I made a mini book for him. Still working on the year of memories (set to ship Monday) Yikes

Cleaned up my Scraproom

View from the closet area. Table under the ribbon is Derek & Liz's I am storing it so for now it is my back up crop area as well as my projects to complete. Only a few more boxes to go and I will have that clear. Got my room all cleaned up after a couple of Christmas projects so I thought I should update the room pics on the blog. I now have a desk (collect all) in the back corner, Jason installed my racks for my punches above it. love them saw the idea on another blog and asked my mom to get me some from IKEA. LOVE THEM! Turned the other table into my embossing station. working out well and it is easier to keep organized over here. This is a bit more crowded then I had planned on but I love my room and I enjoy when friends come over and do classes and scrap.

T'was the Night before Christmas

Too cute not to post! T’was the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree. I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me. Could it be cardstock or inkpads or lace? Or some stamps, I said, with a smile on my face. And that's when I heard him...... "Hi Santa, " I said He replied, "You know....good girls should be in their beds". "I know I should Santa, and now I've been caught. But I was just so excited to see what you brought." "Well, let's take a look in this room where you work". He shook his head quickly, and left with a jerk. I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear. "You've got enough crap, I'll see you next year!"

Some Christmas cards for an Order

Open! had to show the best part first Closed Working hard to make some easy yet amazing Christmas cards for a client. These are a lift from a little card I got in a swap from Janette. - Brilliant idea! Had fun with the structure not sure I am happy yet with the finished cover. Need to add some holiday words and every time I try it ruins the affect. I will add the client has a love of turquoise and snowflakes with some bling. She likes simple so I am working some magic! Still in process but so far I am loving the look of it open. also I hope you can see that I did use the snowflake embossing folder on the cover. Thinking of adding some glitter to the cover in random places too... as you can see a work in progress! Thanks again Janette!

Sexy Bird and update on Year of Memories

Wow going simple sure isn't so simple... I did take some time to redo a few of the pages because I decided to only use die cuts from my silhouette machine. Paying for these fun shapes might as well use them. I know crazy concept:). Who out there actually uses their purchases... Well now it is almost done I am up to December having just finished putting together these 18 piece turkeys last night. Took the whole day to cut the pieces for 6 of these sexy birds. But I thought they were just too funny not to use. Done so far - Family title page January - Snowflakes February - Love & Hearts March - Changed it to Lucky me circle with clover in the center April - Adorable chick with wiggle eyes May - a couple of flowers not my favorite page might re-do again June - cute flip flops inspired by a card I did with Rachelle July - Flourishy stars with some added glitter pen August - Popcycles - thinking I might add another treat to the other side September - School Rules &am

The Advent Calendar Class

We had so much fun creating this wonderful Advent Calendar last Saturday. Rachelle and Jennifer were in attendance and perfect space wise. This is a spread out project but they were great about keeping to their area. I am a spreader so I envy their ability not to take the whole table! I have 2 of these up for sale in the booth so if anyone is interested let me know. (Also have 1 other one that is burgundy with snowflakes) And... Jennifer wants to make a Count down to Disney one in the spring. So if you are interested in a Disney trip count down let me know I will keep you up to date on the class. Rachelle is making Disney bag books the same day so that is an option too.

New Class - Advent Calendar

Saw this style of Advent Calendar on another site and thought I should try to make one. LOVE IT!!! This was quite fun and easy. Thinking November 15th for the class Cost $50 (includes a light lunch) Bring your adhesive (I will supply the wet glue and velcro) All items will be cut and ready to assemble as well as the board painted to match the paper used. Unfortunately the paper above is no longer available but I will find something adorable to work with. They do have a cute polar bear line at Archivers I think is still available. A few more cards....

Card #5 Changed it from the prior post (I did go back and change the group 1-5 photo) Using solemn stillness stamp set and some shimmer paper. Love the new look! Card #6 Okay I saw something similar to this online and had to add some bling and snow to it. Tree from Flakey friends stamp set Card #7 A simple snowflake card. for those of us that like simple and love snowflakes! Snowflake from the new patterned pines hostess stamp set. Still working my head around the tree stamps in that set. They are cute but just patterned enough to take some extra thought on how to best use them. Card #8 These fun cards are cash holders (or checks, gift certificates, etc...) I made one for Liz for her birthday and She loves it. carries it in her purse as a money holder for her cash! Hers was black and red with flowers but the same style of card. I have enough to make 12 of each card. These can be altered to have flowers, stamps etc on the scallop circle too. I have 2 more options in my mind bu

October is here!

It has been a week! Had an amazing mini vacation with Jason at the Cliff House. Ate at a bunch of new restaurants too. Breakfast on Sunday was at a Crepe restaurant that served Gluten Free Crepes. Unusual fare but the crepes were amazing. I just didn't know you could have so any different foods in a crepe. I of course being chicken had strawberries and then asked for syrup! Then for lunch we had Italian restaurant and they also had a GF Menu.... So I had GF spinach noodles with GF Alfredo sauce and chicken. It was amazing! Saddest part is the weekend ended with a nasty flu bug. Thought it might be food poisoning but nope it was the flu. It is now Thursday and I am finally on my computer again, And it is suddenly October! Amazing how a little flu takes almost 4 days to recoup. And then we get the call from school that Miranda isn't well. So now the process starts all over. Poor kid. Enjoy my trip pictures and check back soon for the Christmas Card class updates.

Christmas Card Class thoughts!!!

Been working on the Christmas card class this week. I am thinking as a budget savvy scrapper/stamper I am going to use the stamps I have and try to see them in a new light as well as create multiple cards using these sets. to show their versatility. I will say just the idea phase part has turned out to be fun. Some of the sets I am planning to use are still available through Stampin Up so once I post the cards if anyone wants to purchase a set they can. (20% off) And always you are welcome to come scrap with me and use my stamp sets anytime. I will be "creating" officially in the next few weeks and posting soon after to give time to decide your cards... (see below!) I am just in the idea phase now but I will post pictures asap. Also another change up I am going to offer is that since I will post the cards before we do the class (I am thinking class time in October or early November) you can choose the cards you want to create. I will make approx 10 different cards ma

Over the Hill Bag Book

Loved Making this for my Aunt Peggy. She loved it and did mention that she was not 50 yet so she was not over the hill! She turns 50 in November but they had all their friends in town for the 25th Anniversary party. SOOOOO they added in the birthday as a surprise.

The Guest book is done!!!!

As you will see below I competed the Guest book for my Aunt Peggy and Uncle John's 25th Wedding Anniversary party. They are going to have a wonderful night on the Sternwheeler Rose with family and friends. Hoping this album makes a wonderful addition to the festivities. I wanted to have a unique way for guests to sign and maybe compete for the photo spots! The nice thing about this album is guests can sign the tags and then when the pictures are developed they can put the pictures where they want and add the tags to match the signers. Did add in the last page for those that found the concept difficult. Hope you enjoy, Dianne
