Update and a Tool Review!

Hi Guys.. I know I was doing so well posting almost everyday and then nothing. Well the good news is I have been helping Liz get ready for the baby. We got a ton of clothes from Derek's Family that she got to go through. Sad news on that was most of the girls they have in the family are opposite months so we did get a  bunch that will help there was a ton of cute stuff Norah wont get to wear. But what she can probably wear is all washed and in bins ready for Liz to pull out when she reaches the right sizes.  It should be any day now that Norah makes her appearance so I will keep you all informed. I also took down the table in the family room and have now turned that area into the "grandchildren Zone" Kept the table though its just in pieces legs under the stairs and the top is in the garage so we will have it again when I need it for a crop or something. to nice of a table to get rid of. So after that long winded up date now onto the tool review.. Shapes punched i

Bag book birthday gift

Made a bag book for Rachelle for her birthday back in May and just gave it to her this week so I was just able to post pictures of the completed project now. I used the Cheerful Treat paper line from Stampin up complemented by Melon Mambo, Concord Crush and Lucky Limeade. All colors that just make this paper pop. It was a paper I had really not used much of and not found a need for in cards but when I was looking for the right paper for this gift I instantly thought of Rachelle and how she could put some special pictures in it of her and Char.  Cover page I kept this one simple and left the sweet paper (my favorite of this set) without a title so that she could add what ever she wanted and we could title it later if she wanted or not and put a picture on it. Its up to Rachelle. The next pages use the stripe paper I found this paper so hard to use for cards but as a horizontal page mat with the Lucky Limeade it was toned down just right and those flowers I made to match the co

Baby Book for Norah - 3

Here are the last months of the Chipboard book for Baby Norah. As you can see the tag theme continued through all the months. Page 13 "Love Cherish Adore" Tag and Photo mat This is the month 7 page.  Month 7 tags - "Precious beyond measure" A little room for some photos if needed on that tag Standard journaling on the  month 7 information tag. Month 8 has more room for some pictures and the adorable hot air balloon. Page 14  Month 8's official page and the tag reads "Sweet Dreams" so I hope we are able to get a little sleeping picture for the tag as well. Page 15 Up to month 9 and we have the hanging clothes line tag that reads "love" Journaling or a photo like usual on the tag Tags for month 9 are  another busy set with "Twinkle Twinkle little star do you know who loved you are?" Month 10's tags are also busy with "Owl always love you" what a cute family of owls. Pa

Baby Book for Norah - 2

Well this part of the Baby book starts getting a little confusing so I broke it down to the last basic pages and the first 3 months. You will notice it looks like I took multiple pictures of the same pages. its the inserts I am showing when I did this.  Page 7 Journaling on the side and then the "Love Cherish and Adore" sticker at the top.  Page 8 Last of the standard pages angled this photo mat and added the "Precious" "Little One" "So Special" Tag but I cut the paper off the edges to allow it not to clash with the swirl paper I wanted to use.  Page 7 again but this shows you the chipboard that is in the center of the page "Look what I can Do" Page 8 the is the other side of the Chipboard in the center of the pages this side says "Its all about me" (Im kind of a big deal) Didn't want to leave out those special inserts that were added. Page 9 starts the months and more of the center inserts

Baby Book for Norah

Well I'm going to do this in a few posts as there are a bunch of pages and I think you will enjoy getting it in smaller doses.. Here is the cover and the first few pages of the Baby Book for Norah I have been working on with Liz this past weekend. We chose the Simple Stories Baby Steps paper and used some Early Espresso and Very Vanilla SU paper. This book is a chipboard book from Creative Cuts and More . I did cut 2 of the tabs down and make them actual pages instead of tabs but when you see all the posts you will understand more of the dynamics of this book at that time. page 1 is for birth info and her 1st picture Page 2 another picture and an area to journal. One thing with this paper and embellishments that I found and I appreciated is that there is tons of writing area. I also had put ribbon on some of the photo mats and later removed it as the book got too big for the bulk of ribbon and anything but the stickers and embellishments included in the paper line.
