Change of Scenery - PML Card Creation

Change of Scenery - National Scrapbooking Month Love this paper and glad I am able to play with it today. Was sad that there wasn't some PML cards to go with this paper since it tends to extend the options for layouts. Assembly Video: Cut example of the Scenery paper using the completed cards: From the bottom of the paper cut up 6 inches  then cut the next at 6 inches removing the zip strip. Now cut each of the 6-inch pieces into 4 X 6 (you will get 6) then take the center bottom and top left 4 X 6 and cut it into (2) 3 X 4. The piece missing in the picture is the 3X4 used to stamp on. Cut 2 - 3 X 4 cards from the Canvas pattern paper as well. Scenery Card: 3 X 4 base (top left) Pine Light 1 1/4 X 3 Pine Dark 1 1/2 X 3  Cut 3 stamps images.  1/4 X 2 strip of Canvas pattern Tear both ends to show white and leave it about 1 1/2 inches long. Ink center with Pine ink using a blending brush. Tree Card: 4X6 base (Center Top) Tree stamp and Verbiage of choice Pine ink Trees are 1st and 2n

Organizing PML - Picture My Life Cards - CTMH

Storing your PML Cards so you actually use them!! I have tried a few ways in the past to organize my PML cards. This has so far been the best idea I have found: Cricut file for the tabs: Cricut PML tab link Things I have tried in the past (All photos are from online sources not my actual photos)  Similar to this style I organized my cards in one of these but it was just too bulky on my desk. This storage idea was one of the best for storing away on the shelf... But I rarely used them as they were hidden. Loved this style as well but it was also one that was  put away on a shelf and rarely used. This style was nice I was able to grab it easily and keep it in my trolly so I would hopefully grab them  and use them more often. I used this style for a bit before I switched to the fridge bin style. Hope these ideas help you out with your storage needs. #CTMH #PML #PictureMyLifeCards #Organization #Scrapbooking

Embossing Folder Organization

This is a huge task that has been on my mind to do for months... Purging and Organizing my Embossing Folders My sorting process: Get the embossing folders in one place (Luckily, I have kept them in 2 fridge bins) Choose your categories - Get rid of, Keep, Long Term Storage, To think about, etc.... Go through your folders and add them to each pile depending on your feelings. Then go through the "To Think About"  pile. Then go through the "Keep" pile one more time to make sure you have the ones you will use. (This depends on what you use them for) Then if you have more in the "To Think About" pile, go back through that pile until all of the folders are sorted. The Organizing part: Part 1: If you want to add titles to the folders - Places to help if they are older folders - eBay, Etsy, Google search (add the brand for easier searches) Use a label maker for titles and brand if desire on the folder. Part 2: Normal size folders:  Use the file below to create fol

Embellishment Storage Book

Stickers & Die Cut Organization Working on my goal I am starting by purging some of my sticker bits, diecuts and assorted embellishments. I have so many I am not using that this felt like a great 1st step. In starting on this goal one of the problems I was having was where was I going to put the bits?? Janice Gilhooley has a video on the CDT membership site that is similar to a prior organizing method but changes up how I had organized with a simpler thought process. By color! she has a few other ideas too, but the Color bit was what got my mind working on how I think I could make this work for me.  So, the steps I recommend: Think about what works and what doesn't in your current method Get the items you plan to organize (keep it small so you don't get overwhelmed). Figure out the space you have to organize them in Purge what you don't care for or feel you won't use. Place items that are too large (Frames, Large labels etc..) aside for now. Then organize by color
