Weather - Weather - Weather!!!!

Okay the Oregonian in me is fine with rain and some hail a bit of thunder and lightening but this Colorado weather is getting out of hand!
The first really big storm caused flooding in our downstairs office as well as some roof and window damage. Thank goodness for insurance!
But the problem I am having with the weather is it continues every day....
Mid day hits and it is thunder/lightening/hail/tornado warnings/flood warnings/ETC!
I am spending my afternoons keeping Miranda downstairs for safety after that first storm I'm not taking chances. Today she went to sneak upstairs and just as she hit the stairs a huge thunder and lightening combo struck. She turned and looked at me and said sorry. It was so cute I had to laugh. I didn't have an issue again with her going to the upper levels!
On the scrap front I am working on some cards for the Wrought'n Apples booth and some baby boy mini books for Coutour Kids in Littleton. hope to get them done tomorrow and start on baby girl books.
Class wise I have 2 cards of the 6 to 7 planned and some ideas for the others.
I took a mini break and made some adorable bridal shower cards for a wonderful friend Rachel from Washington as well as some mini matching nugget purses. they were just perfect and I loved being able to create some fun items for such a special friend. Congrats Rachel and I hope you have a wonderful party next month. oh and a fun wedding too!!!
Hmmm... oh I remember the other fun project I am planning.
Starting in August I am officially starting the "Year of Memories".
mid August I will host a class for the 1st 4 months of the year.
Each class will be $25 and you will get 8 - 8X8 pages (2 for each month).
I will write up some more on this later as well as get my camera and computer (and cord for camera!) in the same room to get the picture of the Rachel card and purse on here.
Have a wonderful night,
Dianne

Paper Pumpkin Magic! - 3 layouts and 6 cards

I received my paper pumpkin kit for July and wanted to create a few layouts and some of the cards. Video shows the cards and layouts - creating one 12X12 layout during the video for Nancy. You Tube Video: Cards: Daisy in Old Olive card  Flower in Melon Mambo card Poppies in Calypso Coral card Card details: Card base is from CTMH July Paper Pumpkin kit Inks - Artichoke, Rosy and Papaya Cuts: Card base from the kit cut in half then the floral front was cut to 3 3/4 X 4 3/4 the solid pattern was cut to 4 X 5 1/4 (cutting out 3 1/2 X 4 3/4 out of the center) Process: I added the corresponding ink to the card base to soften it and then I added the solid pattern and the floral pattern. I inked the edges of the floral and solid pieces from the kit then adhered them to the card base. I added strip pop tape to the frame and the flower piece then added it to the card. Finished with the included sequins. 12X12 Layout: Calypso Coral card 12X12 Layout bits: Kraft (2) 12X12, (2) 4 1/4 X 6 1/4 and
