Stamp Clean Up Process

Here is a bit of information about what I have been doing with my Stamps to get everything compact and nicely organized.  It is a long process if you have a lot of stuff not so much if you don't. Wood Stamps: If it is wood mount and you have not unmounted them then that is of course step #1 Easy to do just put 1 wood block in the microwave at a time. Size: Small 5-10 sec Medium 10-15 sec Large 15-20 sec Background 20-25 sec Start with smallest time and check if pulls off easy. The wood will get warm to hot as you have it in the microwave for longer periods of time so be careful. Got a bunch of $2 wood mounts at a recent sale, here is one of them Microwaved this one 15 sec removed it from the block  then quickly removed the sticker and placed it on the backing  Best to work with 1 block remove stamp and if Stampin up you can remove the sticker as well and place that on the top of the sticky area so you can see the stamp. trim as needed...

Die Cutting and Ribbon Area

Another area in the office is today's blog post. Not to many more of these to share - Only so much office! Got this area cleaned up a bit and took a picture really quick since I will be getting ready for class soon and it will be a mess once more:). So the ribbon storage shelves are the ones I got at the last house from IKEA. They were a little cream'ish so I actually added some white trim paint to them before putting them on the wall. They hold ribbon nicely and keep everything very neat. Probably still need a couple more but I can barely reach the top one so that's a challenge for another day - Probably should purge some of this - again another day. The cabinet matches the ones we have in the family room as well as the granite top. Original plans were to have it by the wall but that went out the door when I couldn't get  the machine in the right space for cutting books. So it had to move over a bit. The empty looking  area to the right isn...

Closet Post #4

Last side of the closet Ikea cubbies until we find or build something for this side. The top wall shelf is on loan from Liz (hopefully she wont ever want it back its soooo cool). It holds all of my completed cards and where I stick my sample books. Right now there is a few card kits on it as well but those will move soon to sell and I will keep the competed cards here for when I have a need or request. The black tray unit is filled with Lizzies projects. Works well to have stuff for her to do.  The white cubbies from IKEA holds a ton of stuff... Top area is SU dies and Embossing folders The 2nd row of cubbies holds paper on the left and Lawn Fawn stamps on the right. Using the same storage system as my Stampin up stamps here works great The bottom cubbies are open on the left for die storage I am still sorting and putting into evernote the right is Lawn Fawn dies. Under the unit is a top to a drawer unit by my desk that I don't want to get rid of and a box of cards I still h...

Closet Post #1

Close to done in my closet? Well on the closer to done side then when I started.... I have been working long and hard for about 6 months maybe longer (I could be in denial) on my Scrap Closet. 1st step was to remove all the stuff I wont use. 2nd step was to decide if donation or selling items I wont use??? 3rd step was to decide if I liked items and again sell or donate??? 4th was to look at items and see if they were personal use or business... 5th was if I really thought I would use the item in my life time. (What a huge question right?!?!?) Next was as I bring stuff in is it personal or business or will I really use it? I know tons of decisions on just stuff just to start this process. Today I am showing my SU stamps and how I organize them. Also while doing the above I was transferring my SU stamps to the new storage solution as I had run out of storage for my stamps and the shelves I loved were no longer available. Then it was build or buy??? We did opt to buy th...
